To ensure a cohesive architectural narrative, Cross Works has released design guidelines that focus on the concept of "everyday" buildings. This includes villas, townhouses, apartments, and community facilities—elements that will create a vibrant urban fabric in the newly developed area. The guidelines aim for a balance of curated uniformity and individuality, fostering an environment that respects local traditions while embracing modernity.
New Tashkent: A 15-Minute City
The design of New Tashkent embraces the 15-minute city philosophy, which allows residents to reach essential amenities within a short walk or bike ride from their homes. This is a vital step in reducing reliance on cars, promoting walking and cycling as preferred modes of transport. Alongside a detailed mobility plan, planners envision green zones and waterways to enhance both the aesthetic and liveliness of the environment.

Saidazim Sharipov, head of urban-planning documents for the Directorate of New Tashkent, emphasizes the project's potential to establish a new language of urban development that meets the environmental and communal needs of its future residents. By integrating community facilities within walking distances and reserving 20% of the area for green spaces, the development aims to create a sustainable, livable environment for the burgeoning population.
